Our Story: A Legacy of Engineering Excellence

Political and physical map of Guyana showing regions and neighboring countries.

The Story Begins

George Alfonso Salmon, born in British Guyana, South America, in 1923, was a skilled mechanical engineer and businessman. Through his contributions to various regional projects, along with his involvement in the supply of timber logs and machinery support, he laid the foundations for what would become a proud family tradition of engineering excellence, helping to support and develop the region in which he lived.

The Next Generation

This passion for engineering was passed down to his son Fitzgerald Salmon born in 1974. Fitzgerald became an electrical engineer specialising in electrics, controls, and Low/High-voltage systems. His distinguished roles in the Navy, private sector, and NHS established him as a leader in his field.

A New Chapter Begins

The legacy continued with Samuel G Salmon, our founder and owner, born in south London 1991. As a young boy, Samuel’s interest in engineering was sparked by accompanying his father to work.

What began as a simple way to avoid chores soon became a genuine passion for electrical and mechanical maintenance.

Building Expertise

Samuel's early fascination evolved into a dedicated career. He honed his skills across various sectors, including the NHS, civil service, energy & data centres, and the Royal Navy.

His experience spreads across Engineering maintenance, building management systems, Energy management, Medical gas, Low voltage & High-voltage systems (SSOW).
